Charles G. Lincoln was a close friend of the entire Park family and business associate of Trenor Park. His amusing introduction to the family is recounted in Within Ones Memory by Elizabeth H.P. McCollough on page 26. He accompanied TWP on the First trip in 1852 to California and was with TWP in 1882 when he died on the sea voyage to Aspinwall. (Panama Canal Trip). Charles lived some time in Oroville, Ca. where, with TWPs backing, he founded the town's first newspaper, The North Californian. He was elected to the assembly while there. (This latter information is from Mr. James Lenhoff of Oroville, Ca. who is collecting Chales's letter and articles and hopes to Publish them.

If you find verifiable errors, please let me know. I welcome all additions, particularly Sharrow/Charron surnames in the Detroit River area of Michigan/Ontario which will link to relatives in the tree (please be sure that your information includes full names, place names, and dates of birth, marriage, and death -- more information, such as residences and occupations are greatly appreciated)

Digitized photos of ancestors, biographies, land records, wills and probate records are also wanted.

Please do not send files with sanitized records -- that is, names like: LIVING SURNAME with no first names, dates or locations. These are not useful genealogical records!

**************************************************PLEASE NOTE******************************************

Richard's ancestry simply is unknown and all claims to his Royal ancestry cannot be accepted! We, as many others, have tried to link Richard to Sir Arthur Ingram, II born ca 1598 and Eleanor Slingsby through Sir Arthur Ingram, I and Jane Mallory, and even directly, but cannot. Our research has found Ingram, Mallory and Slingsby records eliminating their families as ancestors of Richard. We maintain our information for the rich Slingsby and Mallory history and because both families have other links to the Chesebro' family. And, there is always the possibility that Sir Arthur's father, Sir Arthur, II, or grandfather, Hugh, could be related in some other way than directly to Richard.

FOR INFORMATION ONLY we have connected Richard to Arthur Ingram, III, Esq. with an "INFORMATION" link as a parent of Richard and child of Arthur and Jane Mallory, the most incorrect relationship in other records. PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME THE RELATIONSHIP!

1. Some questions exist about different Richard Ingraham individuals living in Rehoboth and Northampton during the period 1630 through 1683. Information recorded here is as if there was only one Richard. Richard may have been christened March 18, 1600 in Fishtoft, Lincolnshire, England, son of John Ingram. (LDS Batch Number c028262)

2. A Richard Ingraham, on October 19, 1630, asked for and on May 18, 1631 became Freeman of Massachusetts. (We do not know the spelling in these records - see next note for our recorded spelling.)

3. The first item in a list drawn up about 1643 for the division and allotment of lands among the first proprietors of Rehoboth, according to the valuations of their estates appears the following:

"1. Mrs. Bur . . . . . . . . . .

She may have died by 1900 as her son, William, was living with grandmother Angeline Orcutt Chesebro and step-grandfather Monroe Allen.
